when you make fudge, you are often just melting butter and melting chocolate, both of which are very easy to do in the microwave. Most people I know that make fudge, do so with a microwave. The fudge making kit then sat in its box in our pantry and we saved until Christmas and now to complete our 28 day Microwave month I am finally sharing with you this easy microwave fudge recipe using a kit. This was back in the summer and the plan was over the Christmas holidays that I can watch the kids make their own microwave fudge using this fudge making kit. Something I have never had before and for someone that rarely makes fudge, I was fascinated by the idea of making some of our own. Two of my favourite purchases was a gingerbread making kit, which you can see in action in our air fryer gingerbread man cookies and then I also purchased a fudge kit. I love to go through the shop when I am done (don’t want to carry shopping around all day) and then find some fun and interesting things. Then I finished my day at my favourite place aka the farm shop. We just looked awful, though I put a smile on my face and took the kids for a walk around the maze and checked out the vegetables that grow on the Chatsworth estate. Sofia came to my rescue (or tried to) and then fell in the exact same spot. Well, I went from nicely dressed to scruffy in a couple of seconds when I fell on a wet patch and looked like I had fallen in a lake. Note Chatsworth House is where you will find the tweed wearing people (no jeans in sight) on a beautiful English afternoon and not somewhere that scruffy people hang out. Well, it was an amazing day out until something embarrassing happened. It was at Chatsworth House which is a stately home in the Derbyshire region of England. Can’t make it now? Then save it for later!.Vanilla fudge can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for several weeks. Leave to cool sightly, then cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for a few hours before cutting into squares. Press the fudge down into the corners and smooth the surface. Pour the mixture into a lined, quite small baking pan. Continue beating until the mixture thickens slightly. Remove the pan from the heat and pour the caramel into a mixing bowl.Īfter 2 minutes of beating, add the white chocolate. The caramel is done when a sugar thermometer shows 248 ˚F (120 ˚C). Turn up the heat to high and boil until the color is a nice golden caramel, stirring continously. Put all the ingredients except the white chocolate into a pan, place on a low heat until the sugar dissolves, about 10-15 minutes. If you can’t fine superfine sugar just use regular, but remember to stir very well. * I use superfine sugar here, it melts more quickly and it makes it easier to avoid a grainy fudge. 3/4 cup + 1 tablespoon (100 ml) sweetened condensed milk.1 cup + 1 tablespoon (250 ml) heavy cream.3 cups (675 g) superfine or caster sugar*.They also make a lovely gift, who wouldn’t be thrilled to receive a box of homemade vanilla fudge.? These treats have a rich vanilla flavor, and they are quite sweet, but it’s Christmas! Today’s temptation is delicious vanilla fudge, and for me there is no Christmas without fudge. Now there are less than 4 weeks left till Christmas time… the countdown has begun. Hello everyone, Monday is here again and I hope your first Sunday of Advent was wonderful.
